Dr. David Gillanders is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. David is, together with Helen Bolderston responsible for the workshop 'ACT & therapeutic relationship'
Dr. David Gillanders is a member of the British Psychological Society, Health & Care Professions Council, British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy and a founder member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.
He is a peer reviewed ACT trainer with ACBS, which is the is the international association’s mark of high quality, high fidelity ACT training. He has been the Chair of the ACBS Training Committee, overseeing the peer review and is currently the president of the ACBS UK & Ireland Chapter. He is a senior lecturer in clinical psychology at the University of Edinburgh, undertaking teaching, supervision and research. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed articles and several book chapters, and is co-author of the self-help book, “Better Living with IBS”.
